About the role

A leading general engineering school within IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom), the number one group of engineering schools in France, IMT Atlantique aims to support transitions and train responsible engineers. We place scientific and technical excellence at the service of education, research, and innovation. As part of the MSDIO project , a collaborative research program conducted with a major French ophthalmic device manufacturer (Cristalens Industrie) aimed at developing a novel type of intraocular lens (IOL) incorporating metasurfaces for next-generation visual correction, we are recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher in Metasurfaces and Visual Optics within our Optics Department. Reporting functionally to Vincent Nourrit, Professor in the Optics Department at IMT Atlantique, and in collaboration with Cristalens Industrie, you will lead the modeling and simulation of advanced optical correction functions (monofocal, multifocal, or switchable IOLs), cleanroom prototyping via multiphoton photolithography, and experimental characterization of metasurfaces. You will also participate in developing dedicated software tools and in disseminating scientific results through publications and international conferences.
