1. Information We Collect
We collect what you give us, and what your school or the services you connect send us, including:
- Account information: your name, email and password (kept only as a hash), and the school you name or that adds you
- Education: your course and year, your grade average and thesis if you enter them, and your projects
- From your school: your entry on its student roster (name, email, course, year), the confirmation of your enrolment, and your internships with their hours; coursework and grades only if your school connects Moodle, Canvas, Google Classroom or Esse3
- Professional information (skills, experience, achievements)
- Profile data and uploaded content
- Communications with us and other users
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Connect students with educational and career opportunities
- Let your school confirm your enrolment and your internships, and a teacher evaluate a project when you ask for it
- Personalize your experience and provide recommendations
- Communicate with you about services, updates, and opportunities
- Ensure platform security and prevent fraud
3. Information Sharing
We share information in the following circumstances:
- With your school, once you name it on your profile or it adds you: your profile, including your email and grade average, your public projects and how many applications you have sent. The school confirms your enrolment and your internships, sees their hours and follows your placement; it never evaluates your projects. It publishes your CV on its CV page, or your placements on its website, only if you switch that on.
- With a teacher you ask to evaluate a project: your name, email and school, and that project. If the teacher has no account with your school, the school confirms who they are before the evaluation counts.
- With companies, and anyone with the link: company search lists show only public profiles, as first name and surname initial (e.g. "Fabio C."), school, course and skills; a public profile's page shows your full name and public projects, and search engines can index it unless you turn that off in Settings → Privacy. Your grade average, email and phone only if you show them.
- With a company, once you apply to it, choose "Reply and introduce yourself", opt in to shortlist reveal or are hired: your full name, photo, LinkedIn and GitHub.
- With service providers who help us run the platform: the sub-processors listed, with where they are, on our data processing page
- For legal reasons: when required by law or to protect rights
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Choose what information to share publicly
- Make your profile public or private, hide a project, and keep search engines off your public page
- Access, update, or delete your information
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Export your data at any time
4. Data Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures. Every connection to the site and to the database is encrypted (TLS 1.2 or higher, and browsers are told to use HTTPS only). Data is encrypted at rest by our database provider (AES-256), and the app also encrypts two-factor secrets and the tokens of the services you connect. Passwords are kept only as hashes. Students can turn on two-factor sign-in in Settings → Security. Our main database is in the EU, in Frankfurt. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
