It is not a fully remote position. About the role In line with our strategy of introducing new services and evolving existing solutions, BICS is seeking a Telecom & DevOps Engineer to help design, develop, deploy, and support advanced telecommunications solutions for 4G/5G networks, with a focus on roaming, messaging, and Internet of Things (IoT) services. In this role, you will contribute across the full solution life cycle (design, build, test, deployment, support, and maintenance). Working in an agile environment, you will ensure high-quality technical delivery and support successful execution of business projects and evolutive initiatives (time, budget, scope). In close collaboration with the software developer engineers and with a DevOps mindset, you will: What you’ll do Test and validate new developments Deploy releases to production and validation environments Automate workflows (testing, installation, monitoring, etc.) Respond to incidents and participate in an L3 24x7 on-call rotation Debug software and service issues Perform proactive and reactive maintenance activities Monitor service availability and performance Analyse needs and propose optimal, innovative solutions Your profile Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field Knowledge of telecommunication protocols (e.g. SS7, LTE, 5G) Hands-on experience with Linux OS environments Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and (ideally) clustering concepts Understanding of computer networks and protocols Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good interpersonal skills Fluent in English (written and spoken) Nice to have Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools (CI/CD, GitLab, Ansible, containers, etc.) Experience with programming (e.g. Java, Python) and scripting Knowledge of networking and communication protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, etc.) Why Proximus Global?
