Export Agent

The primary role of the Air Export Agent is to efficiently manage and oversee the movement of goods by air, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. This includes coordination with clients, vendors, customs, and carriers to facilitate timely and accurate delivery of shipments while maintaining cost-efficiency and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Air Export Operations • Coordinate the booking of shipments with air carriers for export, ensuring optimal routing and cost-effectiveness • Prepare and process all necessary export documentation, including air waybills, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin • Ensure that shipments comply with international trade regulations and customer requirements • Monitor the status of export shipments, provide updates to clients, and resolve any issues that may arise Customer Service and Communication • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding their air export shipments • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner • Develop and maintatin strong relationships with clients, airlines, and customs authorities, and third-party vendors Cost Management and optimization • Adhere to rates from Air procurment team on air carriers, and other service providers to achieve the best possible pricing • Review and approve freight invoices, ensuring charges align with agreed-upon rates and services rendered. Compliance and Risk Management • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and corporate policies • Maintatin accurate records of all transactions, following company and regulatory guidelines for documentation retention What We’re Looking For • Proficiency in airfreight mgmt. system and tools • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs processes, and shipping documentation • Understanding of incoterms, tariff classifications, and HS CODES • Familiarity with handling DG and compliance requirements • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Analytical and problem-Solving skills • CargoWise One skills preferred Fluent English and German required Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
