About the role

As a Weekend Operator at Diageo, you’ll be part of a supportive, high-performing packaging team, working across both manual and automated processes to bring our iconic products to life. What you’ll be doing:
Operating and monitoring packaging machinery, carrying out smooth changeovers and supporting day-to-day line performance
Championing a strong health and safety culture, ensuring standards are always met and exceeded
Taking ownership of key operational benchmarks, contributing to team success and continuous improvement
Supporting quality control processes to ensure every product meets our high standards
Assisting with basic maintenance activities and problem-solving to keep production flowing seamlessly
Recording accurate data through business systems to track performance and find opportunities
Collaborating closely with colleagues across shifts to maintain consistency and share standard procedures
Building capability across multiple machines to enable flexibility and “flow to work” across the line
You will be assigned to one of the following shift patterns equating to a 29 hour week:
Fixed Weekend Shift Pattern
Friday: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Flexible Weekend Shift Pattern
Friday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM (with flexibility to extend to 7:00 PM)

What you bring:
A strong, safety-first approach with a genuine dedication to maintaining health & safety standards at all times
Confidence in performing machine changeovers, basic maintenance support, and quality control checks
Ownership of operational benchmarks, with the ability to monitor performance and take action to keep things on track
Flexibility to provide cover for holidays or sickness, supporting team continuity and performance
Experience using business systems to accurately record data and support line efficiency
A team-oriented mindset, working collaboratively across shifts to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes
A positive, can-do attitude that combines resilience, attention to detail, and pride in delivering excellence every time
